Packing List for the Trip
FYI: It is very hot and dusty in Nicaragua
Each of the following items is recommended for personal travel:

Set of light-weight scrubs for each day at clinic (5)

Personal hygiene items (also include baby wipes)

Personal OTCs (sennakot-s, pepto, ibuprofen, loperamide, allergy)

Bug spray (DEET products are recommended for vector-borne disease)

Toilet paper (most clinics have outhouses)

Hand sanitizer (small for personal use)
-
Snacks (granola/protein bars, nuts, etc.)

Sunscreen
-
Sunglasses
-
Bandana or mask (for dustly travel to clinic)
-
Refillable water bottle (may consider carrying 2)

Backpack (for day trips to clinics)

Camera
-
Earplugs (for snoring roommates)

Passport and health insurance paperwork
-
Cash (mostly for souvenious, drinks and a few meals)

Bathing suit (hotel pool)

Light clothing for downtime and dinner

Otoscope w/tips, BP cuff, stethoscope, thermometer (for Med. Students-required, for PharmD and auxillary persons- optional)

Calculator (for PharmD-required)
Each person must bring the following mandatory items for trip contribution:

1 pkg. per student Post-It-Notes

1 box per student small snack size ziplock bags (for clinic use)

1 large bottle per student hand sanitizer (for clinic use)

1 container per student Antiseptic Wipes (for clinic use)

2 highlighters, 2 sharpies, 1 box of pens per student
